A reinforced-concrete stair flight is a ready-made span with steps that is set with a crane in the stairwell. Factory geometry of the steps and landings gives even, safe stairs and noticeably speeds up construction compared with cast-in-place.
Main types
- ЛМ — a ribbed flight without frieze steps, installed together with separate floor landings.
- ЛМФ — a flight with frieze (end) steps for joining with landings.
- ЛМП — a flight combined with half-landings in a single unit, which simplifies installation.
How to read the marking
The marking encodes the type and the main dimensions — length and height in decimetres. By these a flight is matched to the floor height and the stairwell width.
